There is no doubt that the summer of 2020 is one that we will all remember. Singing in groups may sadly have featured much less than many of us had hoped for, however, where there is a will there is a way. Pete continued to lead our Zoom sessions up to the normal term end and our final session was a very jolly affair - as you can see!
It was fabulous to safely enjoy the company others again during the summer break, most particularly family and friends. A number of the LCC committee enjoyed a most pleasurable afternoon at Kingsbury Episcopi and what a joy it was to walk along the river in the glorious summer sunshine and ponder our hopes for a return to singing.
It was an even greater joy to meet with a few more members at Pitney Farm Cafe and to see Pete again after so many months. A huge thanks goes to all at Pitney Farm and particularly owner Lily of Pitney Farm Cafe for providing a safe and very ambient space to meet - a delightful rural venue for anyone who has yet to try.
As we head into autumn and shorter days, spending time together was a huge boost and our thoughts were with members who are still unable to be with others. It was also a great opportunity to discuss how we many approach out Zoom sessions and we are delighted to have made plans to do so in safe mini Zoom groups in members houses where they are able. Our sessions start on Monday 14th September - 7.15pm to 8.30pm and are £3 per session. New members are still very welcome and can be reassured that with Pete's help and musical direction, we will continue to sing in every safe way possible.
